Pro Kennex Tennis Racquets

ProKennex Ionic Ki 15 PSE
U.P $250 *
The Ionic Ki 15 PSE offers a solid amount of controllable power and a generous sweetspot. For its Ionic line, ProKennex has updated its Kinetic technology and the Ki 15 PSE offers lots of comfort and stability without any sacrifice in feel. We found good access to topspin and slice with this one on both groundstrokes and serves. Flat hitters also found good accuracy and weight of shot from the baseline. At net this racquet feels solid, stable and very comfortable. The Ki 15 PSE is a versatile racquet that will suit a variety of playing styles and levels. Stronger beginners and intermediates will benefit from the heft and stability offered with many of our playtesters stating this would be a good racquet for the improving player. 4.5+ players with moderate swing speeds should also enjoy this racquet.

ProKennex Ionic Ki 15
U.P $250*
A great 'tweener that offers good stability in a lightweight package. We found some useful pop from all areas of the court with racquet head speed easy to generate when needed. The Ionic Ki 15 makes a solid choice for the all court player or the doubles specialist who can exploit the maneuverability and power of this racquet. At net we found plenty of pop to finish off the point, while still finding good feel and control on touch shots. Players with moderate swing speeds found they could bring this racquet through the contact zone with good pace on serves and overheads. Fans of the comfortable feel of ProKennex's Kinetic system and the Pro 15G (predecessor to the Ki 15) will find an even greater sense of comfort and dampening from the Ionic technology in the Ki 15. If you are a 'tweener racquet fan, then the Ki 15 is a must playtest. Best suited to players at the 3.5 to 4.5 level who use a medium pace/length swing.

ProKennex Ionic Ki 10
U.P $240*
Light, maneuverable, spin friendly and offering a nice blend of power and control, the Ki 10 is a racquet with broad appeal. There's enough power here for slower swinging players, while players with more aggressive swings will revel in the spin they can generate. At net the Ki 10 offers excellent maneuverability, good feel and a crisp response for accurate volleying. ProKennex's new Ionic Kinetic technology makes the Ki 10 a very comfortable racquet and provides a more solid feel than would be expected of a sub 11 ounce racquet. While the Ki 10 may spec out like an intermediate player level 'tweener racquet, more advanced players looking for a lighter weight racquet should also take this one for a demo. A solid choice for 3.5 to 5.0 level players. Also available is the PSE (Pro Special Edition) version...

ProKennex Ionic Ki 5
U.P $240*
The Ki 5 is a solid feeling player's racquet that offers some useful pop and good access to spin. At 11.8 ounces, there's some nice mass behind each shot. Everything is kept maneuverable by a player friendly 7 points head light balance. In play, the Ki 5 rewards from all areas of the court making it a great choice for the all court player. We found some noticeable power off the ground and on serve, resulting in good pace and weight of shot. When hitting topspin shots with this update to the Pro 5G, we found a little extra kick without any additional effort. Volleys felt crisp and precise with noticeably good stability and comfort. Player's looking for an arm friendly racquet with plenty to offer from all areas of the court should definitely take the Ki 5 for a test drive. Best suited to 4.0 to 7.0 level players. Also available is the PSE version and Asian Specs version.

MSV Focus HEX

Now $20
In Germany MSV stands for Mauve - Sport - Versand. We are convinced the English translation is -- More Sizzling Victories!

MSV Focus Hex is a first-class string offering consumers some significant firsts:

1. First co-poly string available in a solid BLACK color. (Menacing looks can intimidate opponents.)

2. First co-poly string offering extremely reasonable durability that is available in an 18L, 1.10mm, version. (Sic, and we mean "SIC" spin potential!)

3. First high-quality HEX-shaped co-poly available at an afforable cost. (Much less than other Hexagonal co-polys, including Pro Supex Blue Gear and Signum Pro Plasma HEXtreme.)

Construction: New Generation CoPoly string extruded in a Hexagonal form.

Advantage: This co-poly features solid tension maintenace and long lasting performance. While Luxilon ALU loses 17% tension overnight, the MSV Focus Hex lost a total of just 13% after 30 days and several hours of heavy play. While impressive, the most exciting advantage of this string is simply, "SPIN POTENTIAL." Playtesters describe this string in all gauges as "The absolute BEST spin string ever developed." With the 1.10mm version, this may actually be an understatement!

In addition to spin and ability to hold it's playability, this string is also extremely comfortable. German lab tests have shown it to be superior to leading brands in the categories of elongation and elasticity. This leads to added comfort, power and all-around solid performance.

Gauges: 17 (1.23mm), 18 (1.18mm)
Colors: White, Black, Red
